Here are some full photo galleries from various Elopements, Weddings, and Engagement sessions that I have done near and far. Enjoy.
Ashley & Hans | Wedding | Friendly Pines Camp, Prescott Arizona
Hans and Ashley’s wedding was a fucking blast. I really love working with creatives. They don’t need trends to tell them what they like. This often results in shooting more minimalist weddings but one was different. They had so many personal touches in their details. Hans actually made all the plates and cups himself. I urge you to explore wedding creatives that are doing so on their own terms because there’s nothing at all unique or personal about wedding trends.
Josh & Marissa | Elopement | Grand Canyon, Arizona
This couple got married on the cliffs of the Grand Canyon on the windiest day I have ever seen. We started and ended the day at their Airbnb in Flagstaff and did portraits all over the place.
Paige & Sebastian | Engagement Session | Prescott, Arizona
Paige and Sebastian are both really gifted artists and for this engagement session, I wanted that to be a focal point. I found us this unique Airbnb in Prescott, Arizona. Working at a leisurely pace, the three of us just created together and I love the results.
Rocky & Blanca | Engagement Session | Tuscon Arizona
This stunning property in the Barrio Viejo (Tuscon, AZ) fit our goal perfectly. For this engagement session, we wanted to hone in on intimacy through a dark, moody, and cinematic tone. I think we nailed it.
Remy & Yasmine | Wedding | Hotel Valley Ho Scottsdale, Arizona
Remy and Yasmine hosted their wedding at the Hotel Valley Ho and I couldn’t image any other venue fitting this couple’s vision any better. This gallery features a lot of tears, laughter, and everything else in between.
James & Hannah | Proposal | Monument Valley Utah/Arizona
James reached out a few weeks prior looking for a photographer for his proposal. He planned to pop the question in the middle of a sight seeing roadtrip with his girlfriend (and now, Fiancé). Following Hannah’s emphatic and emotional “Yes” we hopped around a little bit for some engagement photos.
Hannah & Jason | Wedding at Schnepf Farms Queen Creek, Arizona
Hannah and Jason had a unique vision for their wedding photos. They did not want ANY posed photos. So no portraits, or family photos or anything that involving me directing. This was a fun challenge and while I acknowledge that this is idea isn’t for everyone, I think this gallery shows how impactful a wedding gallery can look when its comprised entirely of fleeting moments. Here’s a candids-only wedding gallery.
JD & Emily | Elopement | New York City
When I picture New Yorkers, JD and Emily immediately come to mind. These two hosted a tiny wedding ceremony in Central Park and followed up with a small reception on the patio of a restaurant in Brooklyn. I love New York and every time I have a chance to shoot there I feel equally inspired and overwhelmed by choice. I think I could shoot a thousand weddings there and none of them would look the same.
Corie & Kasey | Wedding | Zion National Park, Utah
Corie and Kasey are from Ohio and they brought their friends/family out west to Utah for their micro wedding in Zion National Park. They booked the Zion Mountain Ranch for their lodging and small reception. This is one of my favorite rental properties in the country and I am always excited to recommend them to my clients. Located just a few minutes from the park, this location was a perfect fit for their guests and their wedding plans. I really enjoyed this day spent with warm midwestern people and the scenic views of this park. It’s really cool watching people revel in the beauty of the west the same way I did when I saw it for the first time.
Tylor & Rachel | Elopement | Sedona, Arizona
Tylor and Rachel rented a beautiful cabin in the Oak Creek Canyon for their elopement. This cabin featured private access to the creek, which we utilized for their ceremony. They ended the night with a video compilation of their friends and family congratulating them.
Taba & Krishan | Two Day Wedding | Val Vista Lakes Arizona
Taba and Krishan’s two day wedding still feels like a blur. These cultural weddings can often be a sensory overload and this wedding was no exception. There is so much to look at with this gallery so I encourage you to take your time.
Austin & David | Elopement | Tucson, Arizona
Austin and David eloped in downtown Tucson. They got ready together at the Arizona Inn before heading to the Dillinger Courtroom at the Historic Courthouse. We hopped around town from there for cocktails and sunset photos in the Barrio Viejo. Wedding days like this are super relaxed and spontaneous.
Cody & Morgan | Engagement Session | Olympic Peninsula Washington
This epic engagement session took place on a moody and cloudy day along the Washington Coast. We ventured throughout Olympic National Park for the afternoon and found some really beautiful scenery.
Matt & Shelby | Wedding | Red Agave Resort, Sedona Arizona
Matt and Shelby hosted their wedding at the Red Agave Resort in Sedona, Arizona. We got a lot of really great candids but I personally think that the portraits shine the brightest in this gallery.
David & Debra | Two Day Wedding | Soho63 Chandler Arizona
David and Debra had a multicultural wedding at Soho63 that spanned two days. The first day was the Indian Ceremony with the following day following a more traditional “American” wedding structure.
Sam & Emily | Engagement Session | Downtown Phoenix, Arizona
For those familiar with my work, you know that I am a big fan of photographing people inside cool properties (Especially in the heat of the Arizona summer). Arizona is a hot spot for historical boutique hotels. Sam and Emily chose the Hotel San Carlos in the heart of Downtown Phoenix for their engagement session. I really like the quirky nature of these rooms and chose to steer into a more cinematic style to support that quirky mood. We spent about half of the shoot in the room before we headed down to the street for the sunset. Sam and Emily were both equally invested in getting photos that they felt reflected them.
Alex & Skylar | Engagement Session | Bonneville Salt Flats Utah
The Bonneville Salt Flats are surreal. Located just 90 minutes west of Salt Lake City, Utah, this place feels like a different planet. Skylar and Alex chose to wear black for their engagement session and I think their vision really paid off here. Skylar actually rented that dress from Utah Gowns, who are conveniently located in Salt Lake City. I can still vividly remember the sunset seeming to take forever to actually end. The three of us were in a constant state of awe from the moment we got there to the moment we left.
Chase & Daniella | Adventure Session | Olympic National Park, Washington
Following Chase and Daniella’s rowdy wedding at The IceHouse, we travelled out to the Olympic Peninsula together for their engagement session. Between the dense and lush rainforests inland and the moody beaches, inspiration was abundant. Sitting on that beach, observing the fog move through the trees, and enjoying some beer with my clients has become a core memory of mine and it serves as a reminder that I have a lot to be grateful for.
JD & Emily | Engagement Session | New York City
While I am no stranger to some of the more remote and wild parts of the county, big cities are something I don’t have a ton of experience shooting in. Ive just never felt a draw. That has certainly changed now. JD and Emily hosted me in New York City for their engagement session. We started off at The Met before heading to Grand Central Station. The city was quiet. A few small crowds of people moved their way through narrow streets wedged between some of the most gorgeous buildings I have ever seen. From there we ventured further towards the Lower East Side and Brooklyn. As we made our way to Prince Street Pizza, the crowds thickened, there was music, food, and culture everywhere. At one point, Emily said “I am glad we chose today. The city is alive”. I felt that energy from the city as well. I can see now why so many other photographers have fallen in love with that place. I can’t wait to return.
