Hans and Ashley’s wedding was a fucking blast. I really love working with creatives. They don’t need trends to tell them what they like. This often results in shooting more minimalist weddings but one was different. They had so many personal touches in their details. Hans actually made all the plates and cups himself. I urge you to explore wedding creatives that are doing so on their own terms because there’s nothing at all unique or personal about wedding trends.

As I’m writing this I’m actually drinking my morning coffee from the cup I was given at this wedding. Every single one of them was different. I think that creativity comes from a messy and spontaneous part of our brains and art should reflect that. My work has never once been perfect and that’s kind of the point.
