Thank you for taking the time to explore my work. I have photographed over 500 weddings and elopements over the past 10 years.

Hello, I’m Ethan

My wedding photography career started off as a side hustle. I never intended to stick around but I also didn’t know how incredible this journey could be. Experiencing joy in others, and being able to distill that joy, and share it back, has been so nourishing. Wedding Photography became so much more than a business to me. This career has taken me to so many incredible places and connected me with people from all walks of life. Over the years, my clients and I have hiked to remote waterfalls in Hawaii, fished for Halibut off the coast of Alaska, and tripped on mushrooms in the mountains of Colorado. I am dedicated to perfecting my craft as a way to give back and celebrate the depth of perspective that weddings have given to my life.

My Values

The work is it’s own reward.

I have always hated the phrase “Fake it til you make it” because it glosses over the value of putting in the care and attention to learn and develop. Between social media and Ai, the world seems to searching for cheat codes and quick hacks. If you are bored of it and searching for a deeper experience, I am too. I think some things are supposed to be hard because we wouldn’t fully enjoy success if achieving it were easy. Relationships are a lot of work, planning a wedding can be stressful, and mastering a craft is a life-long pursuit. I am here to make your experience as enjoyable as possible and I wont take any shortcuts to make that happen.

My Process

I photograph weddings with a two-pronged approach.

  • Most of a wedding day I am hands off. I don’t interrupt or augment any moments. It’s important to me that you have the opportunity to be fully present with each other as well as your guests. This documentary style gives your images a narrative and they should remind you of how you felt rather than just how you looked.

  • How you looked is obviously also important. When it comes to your portraits, family photos, and wedding party photos, I shift gears to a hands on approach. I give clear and concise direction to ensure that you feel comfortable and confident.

All Killer, No Filler

Wedding trends always end up cringy in the future. Your wedding photos should be an expression of you, your taste, and the closeness you share with those you love. Nobody is perfect so we might as well be authentic.

When I’m not shooting weddings

In 2025, I published my first book. Mirage is a cultural snapshot of fly fishing in Arizona. A celebration of the people, fish, and landscape that makes Arizona so strangely epic.

My life outside of weddings is largely focused on my love for fly fishing and the great outdoors. My off seasons are spent exploring the American West, fishing rivers and lakes spanning from Arizona to Alaska. Photography also plays a large roll in my personal life. I rarely go anywhere without my camera and photographing my day to day gives me joy.
