2015 is coming to a close and with it, we will be closing another fantastic year for music. Here is my list for the best records of year. Enjoy.

Honorable Mentions: Hit the Lights - Summer Bones, Modern Baseball - The Perfect Cast EP, Avalanche City - We are for the wild places

10. Lydia - Run Wild

I have always been a big Lydia fan. This album comes with the addition of a lot of electronic parts. With the direction that indie pop has been going, I am glad to see that Lydia is evolving without completely over doing it.

Favorite Track: When It Gets Dark Out

9. Nai Harvest - Hairball

This album was a huge improvement for this band. While I have liked their earlier stuff, this was taken to a new level.

For those who have not heard Nai Harvest, this band combines modern indie rock with punk.

Favorite Track: Buttercups

8. Sorority Noise - Joy, Departed

Bummer jams to the max. This record is a lot less thrashy and messy than their last record.

Favorite Track: Art School Wannabe

7. City and Colour - If I should go before you

Yeah, this guy is always going to appear on this list. Dallas Green has one of the most iconic voices out there and this record does not let me down.

Favorite Track: Wasted Love

6. The Good Life - Everybodys Coming Down

The Good Life's "Help Wanted Nights" is one of my favorite records of all time. This one kind of came out of nowhere. Its really hectic and their are so many ups and downs. I kind of get the feeling he was drunk during the writing and recording process. Its amazing.

Favorite Track: The Troubadour's Green Room

5. Coin - Coin

This is really just another incredibly catchy Indie Pop record.

Favorite Track: Atlas

4. Twenty One Pilots - Blurryface

I could go on and on about this band. This album, just like the last, is raising the bar. Not enough can be said about the creativity in this record.

Favorite Track: Hometown

3. Smallpools - Lovetap!

Man, these guys know how to write some hooks. This is their first full length. Really excited for what they do in the future because this is FUN.

Favorite Track: Dreaming

2. Foals - What Went Down

This one is high up on the list for a reason. Its just beautiful. Foals is paving the way for indie rock with this release.

Favorite Track: Birch Tree

1. Turnover - Peripheral Vision

This record completely swept me off my feet. It came out right at the beginning of 2015 and it has remained at the top of my list.
Between the beautiful stringy leads and the gut wrenching lyrics, this one is a masterpiece. Every word is so personal and so honest.
I have LOVED every release by this band but they really took it to a new level with this one. I HIGHLY recommend everyone check this one out.

Favorite Track: I would hate you if I could

(But any other song on this record would work. Seriously, this record is flawless)
